Rolling Stone tipped a thorny hat to Esquire’s portrayal of Ali with this 2006 cover. It isn’t known if the cover was meant to be a joke about the singer’s ego, but most people found it very funny. Religious fans of the magazine didn’t find it as hilarious, and the odd cover story that went with it in which the singer admits to a porn addiction just made the whole thing awkward. The tone of the cover feels current in light of the singer’s recent mike-grabbing moment at the 2009 VMA’s.

And the 46-year-old beat out some stiff competition this year as studs like Robert Pattinson, Bradley Cooper,Ryan Reynolds, and Gerard Butler have all been making headlines as well.

Maradona denied his earrings for unpaid taxes

ROMA-ITALIA - Friday 18th -Accused by the Italian tax authorities to have 31 million euros in back taxes, Diego Maradona was confiscated  earrings valued at 4,000 euros, posting Equitalia the Service tax collection.

The former Napoli player, became coach of the Argentine national team, followed a slimming clinic in northern Italy when the financial police came to take the jewels.

Maradona, who played in Naples from 1984 to 1991 it was estimated that the club pay taxes.

Three years ago, the financial police had already confiscated two Rolex when he came to participate in a benefit match to charity. In 2005, money paid for his participation in a television had been confiscated and in 2001, twenty police officers were waiting at her off the plane in Rome. ( Reuters)
